Highlights of Summer 2012

2.  English Writing and Presentation Skills

Through small group instruction and interactive activities, students will gain confidence as English writers and speakers.  Level I: K - 3 Grade;  Level II: 4 - 6 Grade

Classes will be taught by an American teacher, Ms. Huminski, who has 25 years of English Language Arts teaching experience in American public schools.

3.  Main Theme: " Traveling Around China"

Explore Chinese custom and culture through virtual tour of major cities in China.  Learn Chinese language through multimedia, performing, painting, tasting and writing.

4.  Field Trip on Wednesdays:

Museum of Science

Drumlin Farm

deCordova Sculpture Park

5. Nutritious snacks will be provided and lunch can be purchased weekly or daily

Fun Chinese Summer Program for Kids

It is specially designed to engage fun learning experience through its creative curriculum and playful activities including:

Chinese Language Learning: adapting “foreign language immersion” concept to teach Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through array of creative ways, like skits, games, songs, dances, story making, etc.

Traveling Around China:  With helps from our talented college interns from China this summer, children participating in our summer program will be able to travel back in time to see, to hear, to touch, to taste, to draw the dynamic culture, life, and history of these places.  Students are encouraged to make and to write folks tale stories by themselves related to these wonderful Chinese cities!

Chinese Culture Classes:  Chinese Martial Arts（中国武术）, Chinese Calligraphy（毛笔字）, Brush and Watercolor Painting （水墨、水彩画）, Cartoon Drawing （卡通人物画）, Chinese Arts & Crafts （民间手工）, Chinese Chess （中国象棋）,  etc.  The culture classes will be taught by college students coming from China who are talented and well trained in the above areas!

Sports & Outdoor Activities:  Learn to play traditional Chinese sports and games.  Kids absolutely love them!
